Academy: Under-12s crowned Robbie Keane Cup champions

Sunderland AFC Under-12s were crowned the winners of the Robbie Keane Cup in Dublin this weekend.

A brilliant weekend organised by Crumlin United saw the young Black Cats finish the tournament undefeated.

The Lads picked up victories against Everton, Aston Villa, drawing against Shamrock Rovers and beating Burnley in the final on penalties.

Liam Ogunsuyi, brother of U21 forward Trey, ended the weekend as top goalscorer with seven.

Lead coach, Joey Harries added:

"The boys had a great time in Dublin participating in the Robbie Keane Cup. They represented the Club to the highest standard demonstrating the Sunderland identity and philosophy out on the pitch. This resulted in the group being crowned champions."
