Sunderland Under-18s fell to a 1-0 defeat at Leeds United in the U18 Premier League.
Mason Kotcher grabbed the only goal of the game in the 57th minute to seal all three points for the hosts.
Jordan Moore's side will next face Manchester City on March 16.
