Academy: Young Black Cats visit local care homes

Sunderland AFC Under-9 and Under-11s recently continued their community work by visiting the residents of St Marks Nursing Home and Bryony Park.

The Lads put together gift bags including sweets, puzzles, crosswords and much more.

All gift bags were then hand delivered to each home with the residents enjoying an afternoon quizzing the young Black Cats on their footballing careers so far.

Academy Player Care Lead, Evie Innes added: "As part of their personal development during their time with us at the academy, we aim to engage the boys in community outreach. The U9 and U11 teams made care packages for the residents of St Marks Nursing Home and Bryony Park. The boys were fantastic and really enjoyed getting out into the community and meeting the residents and staff."
