Benji Kimpioka has been nominated for Premier League 2’s February Player of the Month.
The Swedish youth international, who made his Sky Bet League One debut for the club back in September, has enjoyed a productive month scoring twice in four games.
Kimpioka has also provided two assists as the Black Cats have taken three points in the Premier League 2 and have advanced in the Premier League Cup following an impressive 6-2 victory over Peterborough United.
The first-year pro has been nominated for the monthly award alongside the likes of West Bromwich Albion’s Morgan Rogers, Manchester City’s Jeremie Frimpong and Everton’s Bassala Sambou.
