James Talbot has been drafted in to replace Max Stryjek for this afternoon’s Premier League 2 fixture against Everton at the Stadium of Light.
Youth team defender Jacob Young also comes in for Brandon Taylor who was forced off in the opening stages of Sunderland under-23s’ International Cup tie against Newcastle United earlier in the week.
Owen Gamble steps up his recovery from injury as he starts in the middle alongside Elliot Embleton, while Lee Connelly returns to the line-up.
