THE WRAP

ELLIOTT DICKMAN SAYS

The result…

“It tightens the whole thing up again. Manchester United won on Friday and Tottenham won on Saturday – that was a bit of a blow to us. But to be fair to the lads they have responded, and we were very professional. We worked very hard as a team and we continued to build on from Wednesday’s performance. Against a very good side we managed to win.”

Luke’s double…

“It’s come at a crucial time. That is what Luke has got to start contributing more of. He has got to score more, contribute more, and his two finishes were fantastic. Fair play to him and it’s great that the medical staff have got him back fit in time for the important end of the season.”

Five changes…

“The lads who came in did great. A massive pat on the back goes to them. Bali (Mumba) is just 16 and he played 45 minutes. He stuck to his tasks and did his job well. That was Jacob Young’s first start for the under-23s and he defended well, moved the ball well and him and Alex (Storey) formed a good partnership. It is a massive compliment to those two."
