Connor Shields will make his Sunderland debut this evening against West Ham United.
The striker, who joined on Deadline Day from Scottish League One club Albion Rovers, will lead the line for Elliott Dickman’s side in East London tonight.
Meanwhile, Jason Steele started between the posts with Jack Rodwell and Jonny Williams also featuring from the off.
Wales midfielder Williams will clock his second batch of minutes after featuring for the under-23s against Arsenal last month.
Williams is recovering from a dislocated shoulder which he sustained in a Sky Bet Championship match against Millwall in November 2017.
