Andrew Nelson has joined National League North side Darlington on a short-term loan.
The 21-year-old, who made his first start for Sunderland under-23s last weekend following a three-month injury lay-off, will be available for the Quakers’ fixture at Chorley this Saturday.
With previous loan spells at Harrogate, Hartlepool United and Falkirk, Nelson will hope to rekindle the form shown at the latter last term where he scored four times in 12 appearances.
