The young Black Cats were left deflated two weeks ago as Everton produced a strong display to secure all three points on Wearside.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have slid down the U18 Premier League and are winless in their last six matches.

A 5-2 defeat at home to Manchester United was followed by a 4-0 mauling at Blackburn Rovers, a 2-1 defeat at Derby County and then a 6-1 loss at league-leaders Manchester City. While a draw against Liverpool ended Wolves' barren run, Middlesbrough defeated them 2-1 last weekend.

Focus: Jack Diamond

A bright prospect in Sunderland under-18s’ ranks, Jack Diamond is a versatile forward player and feels comfortable positioned anywhere across the front line. Diamond has a major role to play in Dickman’s team and will need to find a way of striking up a partnership with lone frontman Lee Connelly if the Black Cats are to climb the league.
