Electrician

Full Time (40 hours)

 

Sunderland AFC are looking to recruit an experienced electrician to work across the club, using their working knowledge and experience of commercial electrical systems to install, repair, test and maintain power, and fault-find, on existing and new systems, to club standards and to maintain those systems whilst upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations for all electrical work throughout the club.

 

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

·       Carry out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance

·       Carry out fault finding, rectification and testing to electrical systems

·       Carry out installations and project works

·       Complete inspection and testing of all electrical systems

·       Complete portable appliance testing

·       Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance tasks including plumbing and minor fabric maintenance

·       Complete paperwork and ensure records are kept up to date for works completed whilst also liaising with fellow maintenance staff and management team

·       Responsible for on site generators and LV switchgear

·       Manage and support electrical contractors

·       Provide continuous and structured support for Apprentice’s within the Facilities domain to aid their development and learning through your own experience and technical knowledge.

·       Ensure compliance with all of the Club’s security, stock control, loss prevention and key holder procedures.

·       Ensure understanding, awareness and compliance at all times with the Club’s Health & Safety Policy.

·       Ensure excellent organisational and communication skills, taking a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required

·       commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service

·       To be self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure

·       logical thinking in fault finding situations

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Essential Criteria

·       must be electrically qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent City and Guilds

·       must hold C&G 2391, 2394 and 2395 qualifications

·       must hold 17th/18th edition IEE Wiring Regulations

·       experienced in carrying out Electrical Maintenance and installation within a Commercial environment

·       experienced in Inspection and Testing

·       experienced in the installation and maintenance of general and emergency lighting; fire alarms; access control systems; power distribution; heating and ventilation

Desirable Criteria

·       IPAF/PASMA training desirable but not essential

·       PAT testing advantageous but not essential

·       Experience of installation and maintenance of air-conditioning systems would be an advantage

 

The position is full time (40 hours per week), the availability to work flexible is essential to suit business needs. Additionally, you are required to work all home fixtures and special events unless previously agreed with your manager.
