We are heading towards the end of the Sky League One season and Sunderland have just four home games remaining in their push for automatic promotion.

With three of those games coming up after our game this weekend against Rochdale, the Lads need the backing of the fans if they are to make that final push for automatic promotion.

First up, is Burton Albion on Tuesday night and the Brewers will no doubt be full of optimism after winning their last two meetings against the Black Cats.

Nigel Clough’s men are just about clinging onto the battle for the play-offs and will know that a win at the Stadium of Light will be vital if they are to make an unlikely push for that place.

That being said, they will be facing a Sunderland side that are undefeated at home this season and have won their last three games at the Stadium of Light.

After that is the visit of Coventry City who are also chasing the play-off places.

The Sky Blues are likely to bring a large following to the Stadium of Light and our second last Saturday 3pm kick-off should be one of the highest attended games of the season.

Finally, we finish our three-home game run against Doncaster Rovers on Good Friday at 5.15pm.

Grant McCann’s side are pushing for the play-offs themselves and will be no pushover, but they lost earlier this season against Sunderland 1-0 thanks to a Chris Maguire’s solitary goal at the Keepmoat in October.

Our season could well be defined by this run of games and it is important that we as a club, one club, push together and help the Lads get the results we need to put us in a great position for automatic promotion.

Make sure you are part of the pride and join the red and white army today!
