Sunderland’s Carabao Cup round one tie at home to Sheffield Wednesday has been selected for television broadcast.
The game which was due to take place on Wednesday 15 August at the Stadium of Light has been moved 24 hours and will now be played on Thursday 16 August, kick-off 7.45pm.

George Honeyman’s first senior goal sent the Lads on their way last season as they defeated Bury in round one, with Lynden Gooch stepping up to the plate to grab the winner against Carlisle United in round two.
The Black Cats, who reached the final of the competition in 2014, exited last season’s edition in the third round following defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.
