Ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to the Stadium of Light, Mike Dodds confirmed Nazariy Rusyn and Dennis Cirkin will not feature in the Black Cats’ final Sky Bet Championship match of the season.

“Dennis won't be involved. He has been training with the group, and as I said a couple of weeks ago, it's that risk and reward.
“Do we look to involve him and kind of speed the process up a little bit from a perspective of just trying to get him on the pitch? or do we accept the fact that he is still a couple of weeks away?
“He seems to be going in the right direction and fingers crossed everything will be set for him to have a really strong pre-season and show everyone what a wonderful footballer he is.”
Dodds on Nazariy Rusyn
“Naz has started training this week but won't be involved. He's fine, but he’s had an issue with his calf. I think if we had one more game, he would probably feature, but it's a week too early for him.”
