Norwich City sit in 7th place in the Sky Bet Championship table with 52 points from 34 games. The Canaries have secured 15 wins, and seven draws while suffering 12 defeats so far this campaign.

David Wagner's side have endured just one league defeat (Leeds United) in their last nine fixtures and are currently unbeaten in their last five outings.

Jonathan Rowe has notched 13 times and leads the way in front of goal for Norwich – American international Josh Sargent is one to watch, the striker has netted 10 goals in 12 starts this season. While Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara has 16 goal involvements overall – three of those coming in his last four outings.

Danny Batth is available to face his former club - the defender departed Wearside last summer after making 55 appearances during an 18-month spell at the Stadium of Light.

The last time the two sides met, goals from Trai Hume, Dan Neil and Jack Clarke sealed an impressive 3-1 comeback victory for the Lads.

Team News

Mike Dodds has confirmed Jack Clarke is expected to be out for up to six weeks following an ankle ligament injury picked up against Birmingham City.

Dan Ballard misses out again as he completes his two-match suspension. Aji Alese and Bradley Dack have both returned to the grass but remain a couple of weeks away from first-team action.

No timeframe has been set for Patrick Roberts’ comeback from a hamstring injury with Dodds confirming the winger remains a “few more weeks away.”

Corry Evans is back in full training for the first time in 13 months, but the game comes too soon.

Long-term absentees Dennis Cirkin and Niall Huggins are out.
