Birmingham City sit in 18th place in the Sky Bet Championship table after 31 games with nine wins, eight draws and 14 defeats this season.

The Blues current man at the dugout is former Sunderland head coach Tony Mowbray who was appointed in January 2024. He’s won three, drawn one and lost three of his seven games in charge so far.

Mowbray was in charge at the Stadium of Light for just over 15 months and completed a Play-Off finish in the Lads’ first season back in the second tier.

The club’s top scorer this season is Jay Stansfield who currently sits on nine goals in all competitions this season. Birmingham City also have Alex Pritchard in their ranks following his January move from Wearside to the Midlands.

Team News

Patrick Roberts looks set to miss this weekend’s trip to Birmingham City after picking up a hamstring injury in the midweek game against Huddersfield Town. The winger will undergo a scan to examine the extent of the injury.

Elliot Embleton is nearing a return to full fitness but this weekend will come too soon for the attacking midfielder. Meanwhile, Callum Styles could be in contention following his recovery from appendix surgery.

Aji Alese, Dennis Cirkin, Bradley Dack and Corry Evans are all continuing their respective recoveries from long-term injuries whilst Evans is now training on the grass.

Niall Huggins is ruled out for the remainder and is current undergoing rehabilitation following knee surgery.
