Sunderland AFC will host Coventry City on the opening weekend of the 2022-23 Sky Bet Championship season.
The Stadium of Light match up will take place on Sunday 31 July at 12 noon, as Alex Neil’s side go head-to-head with the Sky Blues.
A trip to Bristol City will follow on Saturday 6 August, with the first round of the Carabao Cup preceding a Wearside meeting with Queens Park Rangers.
The opening month of the season continues with back-to-back away trips to Sheffield United and Stoke City before concluding with a home double-header against Norwich City and Rotherham United.
Boxing Day football returns to Wearside for the first time since 2019, as Blackburn Rovers head to the North East before the Black Cats usher in the New Year with a trip to Blackpool.
The Lads will conclude their 2022-23 league campaign on Saturday 6 May, travelling to Preston North End one week after their final home game against Watford.
