Antoine Semenyo is loving life at Sunderland after making his debut little over 24 hours after joining on loan.
The forward penned a deal until the end of the season from Championship club Bristol City, putting an end to a month of transfer speculation.
Semenyo was one of two faces to join the Black Cats on Deadline Day – along with Declan John – and speaking to safc.com today, the 20-year-old is buzzing to be on Wearside.
“It is fantastic, and I am loving my time here at the moment,” he said.
“I played on Saturday and the fans were brilliant – I just loved it even though the result wasn’t what we wanted.
He continued: “It can be frustrating for a young player when you are waiting for a chance to play, but I have been given one now and I want to take it.
“I always thought I was coming here (even though there was speculation from elsewhere). There was a slight delay which was frustrating, but it came off in the end, so I am happy.”
