Sunderland AFC will face Carlisle United and Harrogate Town next week, as their pre-season preparations for the 2020-21 campaign continue.
Both friendlies will take place behind closed doors, with just two weeks separating Phil Parkinson’s side from a return to competitive action in the Carabao Cup.
After opening their pre-season schedule with a 3-1 victory at Gateshead, the Lads will host Carlisle on Tuesday 25 August in a prelude to their EFL Trophy meeting.
A few days’ later, the Black Cats will entertain EFL newcomers Harrogate on Saturday 29 August.
In line with the latest advice from the Government, the EFL and the SGSA, spectators will not be permitted to attend either fixture.
We understand supporters’ desire to support the team, but we ask that all fans respect and follow the safety measures put in place and do not travel to the stadium under any circumstances.
