Jack Ross will have Charlie Wyke at his disposal once again on Tuesday evening.
Sunderland take on Rotherham United at the Stadium of Light, kick-off 7:45pm, in search of their second straight win in League One.
A 3-1 victory away at Accrington Stanley on Saturday saw the Black Cats return to winning ways after losing out at Peterborough United before the international break.
And while Wyke was dismissed for two bookable offences that afternoon, the striker is back available after serving his one-game suspension and shaking off an ankle injury.
“Duncan Watmore is still missing,” Ross told the media at Monday's press conference.
“Charlie Wyke is obviously back from suspension. He had a little ankle injury, but he’s returned to training.
“As things stand, we have no fresh concerns from the weekend despite having a couple of players playing who had been carrying injuries.
“We will see how they are in terms of playing another game in relatively quick succession, but we are in good health as a squad.”
