Team news: Duo available for Scunny trip

Lee Cattermole will return to the squad for Saturday’s match at Scunthorpe United, Jack Ross has revealed.

The midfielder, who is available once more following his suspension, missed the Lads’ last two league matches after collecting his 10th yellow card of the season.

Leading scorer Josh Maja will also be available for selection after missing last Saturday’s top of the table clash with Luton Town through illness.

George Honeyman remains sidelined while it’s not yet clear whether or not Duncan Watmore will be available after  the winger picked up a groin injury against Newcastle United under-21 earlier this month.

“Squad wise, not that dissimilar to last weekend,” Ross admitted at his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“Lee obviously returns from suspension, Duncan still hasn’t trained as of yet, but hopefully he’ll be back with the main group tomorrow, obviously it was a fairly minor injury anyway.

“George remains out for Saturday’s match, which is obviously a blow for us and Josh returns from illness as well.

“So, those that were big players, if you like, that were missing last weekend with the exception of George, will be back available for this weekend.”

He continued: “Having Lee back in among the group this weekend is a bonus.”
