Team news: Two changes at Valley Parade

Jack Ross has made two changes to his team ahead of this afternoon’s game against Bradford City.

Reece James comes in for Bryan Oviedo, who is serving the first game of his three match ban, following his red card against Peterborough United on Tuesday night.

The second change sees September’s Player of the Month Lee Cattermole return to line-up after serving his one-match ban.

Max Power holds onto the captain’s armband, with George Honeyman named on the bench this afternoon, after he also missed the midweek draw.

Also on the bench is birthday boy Bali Mumba, who turns 17 on Monday and fellow youngster Benji Kimpioka.

Sunderland: McLaughlin, James, Matthews, Flanagan, Baldwin, Cattermole, Power (c), McGeady, Maguire, Sinclair, Maja.

Substitutes: Ruiter, Ozturk, McGeouch, Honeyman, Robson, Mumba, Mbunga-Kimpioka.
