Jack Ross rued a host of missed chances as Wycombe Wanderers left the Stadium of Light with a point this afternoon.
Josh Maja came on in the second 45 and slammed home a late leveller to earn a point as he cancelled out Fred Onyedinma's goal.
Chances continued to follow for the Black Cats as they searched for a winner, with Max Power, Chris Maguire and Aiden McGeady all going close.
But in the end the Lads were made to settle for a point, as their eight game winning run ended.
