New contract: Robson signs two-year deal

Ethan Robson has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at the Stadium of Light.

The 21-year-old, who has risen through the Academy of Light ranks after joining the club aged eight, has been rewarded for his efforts this season with a new contract which will keep him on Wearside until 2020.

After making his first-team debut in a Carabao Cup tie at Everton in September 2017, Robson has gone on to make a further eight appearances with his first start coming in the lads’ Emirates FA Cup match at Middlesbrough in January.

Speaking about the deal, Robson was left delighted to sign on the dotted line: “I’m over the moon and buzzing to get the deal done. It is great for me personally and it’s something I’ve been wanting to get done.

“I’ve been here since I was eight. I would like to commit my future to the club. I am a Sunderland fan and I want to do as well as I can for the club.”
