Team news: Double boost in defence

Chris Coleman has been handed a double defensive boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Leeds United.

On loan from Chelsea, Jake Clarke-Salter is once again available for selection after serving a two-match ban following a red card against Preston North End.

Meanwhile, Fellow centre-back Lamine Kone, who missed Monday’s defeat to Sheffield Wednesday due to a groin injury, has returned to training and is expected to make the matchday squad.

But whoever features at Elland road must step up and perform, according to Coleman.

“Lamine Kone trained today and has had a good recovery from the weekend.

“His chances [for Saturday] should be okay.”

He continued: “We have to play at Elland Road on Saturday, a great place to play and Leeds are a big club to play against.

“On Monday, the fans clapped the Lads off because they gave a lot, and we have to give everything again on Saturday.

“Eight points is a lot with six games to play, but it's been done before and we have to keep doing what we've done in the last two games.”
