Not over yet: Camp on Norwich City

Lee Camp has urged his team-mates to produce more of the same as Sunderland prepare for face Norwich City.

The Black Cats host the Canaries on Tuesday evening with five Sky Bet Championship games remaining, and just 15 points up for grabs.

Seven points currently separate the Lads from safety although victory over Daniel Farke’s side could reduce that to four, but they can’t afford to let the gap increase with time running out.

And speaking ahead of the game, Camp demanded more of the same from the players around him, albeit with three points at the end of their efforts.

“I believe performances win you games and anyone can see that in the last three games, our performances have been fantastic.

“We were hit with a couple of sucker punches on Monday [against Sheffield Wednesday] and again at Leeds United, but when you’re down at the bottom, unfortunately you don’t get much luck.”

He continued: “If it wasn’t for two outstanding saves, we would have won at Elland Road and gone into Tuesday’s game on a real high.

“We were the better side from start to finish but sometimes you can do everything and it’s just not to be, but people talk about ‘controlling what’s in your control’ and I thought we did that.

“It was a very good team performance and it was more frustrating than anything because we felt a bit unjust that we didn’t win the game.

“But nothing is over yet and we will continue to fight for every point, and if we beat Norwich it could very well be game on again.”
