Jonny Williams wants to make things happen and is working hard to ensure Sunderland turn their fortunes around.

The midfielder has completed 90 minutes in both the games he has been involved in following his Deadline Day loan move from Crystal Palace.

With attentions at the Academy of Light centered around Saturday's trip to Hull City, Williams is itching to get going and is targeting maximum points to make amends for Tuesday night's frustrations.

“I have been delighted to play both 90 minutes because it is great for myself fitness wise,” he said.

“I feel great already to be honest. I feel strong and I have been delighted to play centrally.

“It is where I feel I can affect games, whether that is getting the ball off the back four and providing a transition from defence to attack or getting the ball to the wide men. I would say those are my best attributes.

“I want to get our wingers on the ball and make things happen. It is great playing with Callum (McManaman) because you play him the ball and he will produce magic out of nothing.

“It reminds me of when I was at Palace and playing in between (Yannick) Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha at times.

“I want to get on the ball, make things happen and hopefully I can chip in with goals and assists along the way as well.

“I was unlucky not to score on Tuesday and get an assist as well but if I continue to make things happen and be busy then hopefully it will click.

“Hopefully the more I play the more goals and assists I can get because I want to be on the winning team.”
