Chris Coleman faces numerous selection dilemmas heading into his first game as Sunderland manager.
Just 48 hours after taking charge of the Black Cats, Coleman takes his side to Aston Villa on Tuesday evening but he’ll be without several key players.
Marc Wilson, Jonny Williams and Duncan Watmore were all forced off against Millwall and none will feature at Villa Park, and Paddy McNair will also miss out after playing 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw.
A decision will be taken in the coming days as to whether or not Williams requires shoulder surgery, with Coleman facing an anxious wait as Watmore, who suffered a long-term knee injury last season, undergoes further tests.
Didier Ndong has returned to the club following compassionate leave, but the Black Cats will also be without Lamine Kone, Billy Jones and the suspended Lee Cattermole when they travel to Birmingham.
