It was a cold December evening at Roker Park in the 1995-96 season, but there was plenty to keep the Sunderland fans warm as striker Craig Russell continued his rich vein of form in front of goal when Millwall came to town.

The Jarrow Arrow netted four in a 6-0 win over the Lions; the first time a Sunderland player had scored 4 goals in a league match since November 1987, and the first hat-trick since January 1992.
