What are the odds?: Black Cats head to Chelsea

Sunderland’s 10-year stay in the Premier League will come to an end on Sunday when the Black Cats travel to Stamford Bridge on the final day of the 2016-17 season.

The match-up mirrors the final day of the 2014-15 season when Chelsea also lifted the title, with the Blues champions once again after a memorable season under Antonio Conte.

And, if history is anything to go by, the Londoners are likely to celebrate their coronation with a win, with the Blues losing just twice on the final day in the Premier League era.

Their record against Sunderland is also impressive having won 20 of their last 24 PL games against the Black Cats (D1, L3), but they have tasted defeat in two of the last six meetings.

Victory for Chelsea would see them become the first Premier League side to win 30 games in a season, with the Blues currently holding the record (29) for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

Sunday’s game will be David Moyes’ 499th as a manager in the PL, with the Sunderland boss winning 196, drawing 135 and losing 167.

The occasion will also mark a milestone for John Terry who is set to end his time at Stamford Bridhe having made a record 491 Premier League appearances for the club with a 63%-win percentage.

Meanwhile, Jermain Defoe will be aiming to break his scoring tally from last season (15) when he returns to the capital, needing one goal to do so.

Dafabet have priced the striker at 15/4 (was 3/1) to score anytime with strike partner Fabio Borini available at 7/1 (was 11/2) to score anytime.

And their priceboosts also offer odds of 14/1 (was 11/1) for a draw and both teams to score.
