safc.com recap all the latest loan action as Will Buckley made his long-awaited return, and Jeremain Lens aided a stunning comeback for Dick Advocaat’s Fenerbahce.
Will Buckley – Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Reading
Will Buckley made his first start since September as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-0 to Reading.
With the race for the Championship play-offs hotting up, Buckley’s timely return handed the Owls a big boost ahead of the game, but an early strike from Yaan Kermorgant set the tone for a frustrating evening.
Ali Al Habsi starred for the Royals making several key stops – including one to deny the on-loan Sunderland man – before Adrian Popa secured the points in added time.
The result leaves Wednesday sixth in the table – and just one point clear of Fulham.
Jeremain Lens – Alanyaspor 2-3 Fenerbahce
Jeremain Lens completed 90 minutes as Fenerbahce came from 2-0 down to defeat Alanyaspor.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead as Junior Fernandes and Vagner Love netted in the opening 15 minutes, but an own goal from Kenneth Omeruo just after the half-hour mark handed Fener the momentum.
They levelled six minutes before the interval through Fernandao, with Aatif Chahechouhe completing the comeback on 58 minutes.
Tom Robson – Limerick FC 1-1 Finn Harps
Tom Robson started for Limerick as Rodrigo Tosi rescued a point against Finn Harps at Markets Field on Saturday.
Tosi struck in the 72nd minute to haul Limerick level after Harps had threatened to inflict a third successive defeat on the Blues, with Sean Houston opening the scoring midway through the first half.
