Jordan Pickford has been named in the England under-21 squad for the upcoming international break.
The stopper has returned to first-team duty in recent weeks following a knee injury, but he’s shown no signs of rust and continued his impressive form.
In 2016 Pickford’s consistent form led to senior recognition as Gareth Southgate called upon the youngster, but he’s also vastly experienced at under-21 level having become a key player for the side over recent years.
And the Young Lions will need the Sunderland ‘keeper, with testing internationals coming up against Germany on 24 March and Denmark on 27 March.
