Sunderland will round off a six-day trip to Scotland in July by playing St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
The Black Cats have a comprehensive schedule of games following their return from an intense five-day training camp in Austria, beginning with a trip to Bury on July 7, kick-off 7.30pm.
The Lads will then play three games against Scottish opposition, during a week-long visit north of the border – Hibernian on Sunday 9 July (kick-off 2pm), Livingston on Wednesday 12 July (kick-off 7.45pm) and St Johnstone on Saturday 15 July (kick-off 2pm).
Following their return from Scotland, Sunderland then face two domestic matches at Bradford City on Saturday 22 July (kick-off 3pm) and Scunthorpe United four days later on Wednesday 26 July (kick-off 7.30pm).
The pre-season programme will conclude with a showpiece game at the Stadium of Light to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the club’s iconic home.
The game is the first pre-season fixture to be held at the Stadium of Light since 2008 and further details will be announced in due course.
