Sunderland made their second January signing earlier today as Bryan Oviedo put pen to paper on a deal until summer 2020.
The left-back has signed from Everton becoming the latest Toffee to swap Merseyside for Wearside.
Oviedo, 26, started his career in Costa Rica with Deportivo Saprissa before moving to FC Copenhagen in 2010, spending his first season in Europe on loan with Nordsjælland with whom he won the Danish Cup in 2011.
The following season he played a key role as Copenhagen won the Danish Superliga, with his performances catching the eye of Moyes who engineered the defender’s Merseyside move on deadline day in August 2012.
Oviedo made his Premier League debut during a 3-0 win over Swansea City before scoring his first goals for the Toffees as Stoke City and Manchester United were beaten.
The 26-year-old made seven appearances for the Toffees during the 2016-17 season, and will hoping to hit the ground running.
