Jermain Defoe and Jordan Pickford collected their North East Football Writers' Awards on Sunday evening at Ramside Hall.
Following in the legendary footsteps of Kevin Phillips and Thomas Sorensen, Defoe received the NEFWA player of the year prize while Pickford was named NEWFA young player of the year.
