Loan watch: Mixed emotions for Nelson

Andrew Nelson – Hartlepool United 1-1 Yeovil Town

Andrew Nelson had a memorable debut at Hartlepool United as the League Two side picked up a 1-1 draw against Yeovil Town.

The striker produced a battling performance and created the opener, playing a lovely floated ball into Padraig Amond who netted his 11th goal of the season.

Yeovil hit back, though, and they levelled five minutes after Nelson conceded a penalty to ensure it was honours even at Victoria Park.

Jeremain Lens – Kayserispor 4-1 Fenerbache

Jeremain Lens completed 90 minutes but it was a day to forget for Fenerbahce as Kayserispor romped to a 4-1 win.

Umut Bulut opened the scoring for the home side but Dick Advocaat’s men struck back through Mehmet Topal, however, the second period well and truly belonged to Kayserispor as Guray Vural netted a brace and Welliton scored to seal a comfortable win.

The result leaves Fener fourth in the league table.

Adam Matthews – Bristol City 1-0 Rotherham United

Adam Matthews missed Saturday’s game due to a hamstring injury.

Will Buckley – Wigan Athletic 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday
