View from the opposition: Warburton focussed on Forest

Like Chris Coleman, Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton is expecting a reaction from his side when they take to the field on Saturday.

Forest are without a win in their last three Sky Bet Championship games, with a 3-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day mirroring the Black Cats’ disappointing festive fortunes.

Warburton’s side currently sit 11th in the table while Coleman's men have dropped back into the bottom three, and speaking ahead of the game he urged his side to respond.

"We let a packed City Ground down on Boxing Day,” said the Forest manager.

"We have to look at it and we can talk about missed chances, a wonder goal and penalty decisions, but it is irrelevant and the fact is we lost the game 3-0 and now we have to look at our reaction.”

He continued: "We have to demand better and work harder, simple as that.

"Chris Coleman has gone in and recognised the challenge. They have had a tough start to the season but it is a huge club and they have a Premier League set up, so I am sure Chris can see the fantastic opportunity.

"They have had some turnaround results recently but have had some injuries – there is talk of six or seven players being out - so we don't really know what side we will face and we will have to wait and see.

"We will respect them, analyse them as best we can but it has to be about us because we are at home and we have to focus on Forest."
