Manager's view: 'Give me everything you've got' - Coleman

Chris Coleman has revealed his team selection on Saturday will reflect who he feels is giving him everything in the tank.

Sunderland entertain Coleman’s former club, Fulham, this weekend as they look to build on last weekend’s point against the Sky Bet Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

While the Welshman hailed the Black Cats’ performance as “courageous” at Molineux, he has erred on the side of caution after his side’s defeat against Reading in their last home match.

Speaking to safc.com, Coleman has demanded his players must give everything to turn the tide in Sunderland’s season, admitting a clear understanding of what’s expected will be key to climbing the league.

“It is very simple to me,” he stated.

“If you don’t want to dig in and don’t want to do everything you can then you are not going it play. I don’t see it any other way really.

“There is nobody who has got a god given right to play unless they are doing everything they can - that's how I look at it.

“I know what I can see on the training pitch and I will pick the team on the back of that.

“There has to be complete transparency from me and the staff to the players which I make sure there is,” he continued.

“This is the job you need to do, this is what you need to do on Saturday, do it and let's see where that takes us.”
