Aiden McGeady is excited to experience a cauldron of noise tomorrow when Sunderland entertain Leeds United on Wearside.

The Black Cats continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday, after collecting five points from their opening three league matches.

Simon Grayson’s side return to the Stadium of Light having played three games on the road in the last seven days against Bury, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday.

And having through that unbeaten, McGeady is now excited to once again walk out at the Stadium of Light.

The 31-year-old also admitted the lads must make the SOL a feared place to come for every opponent that arrives on Wearside.

“It has been a good start,” he said.

“The Celtic game probably dented our optimism because it was a bad performance and a bad result.

“We have started the league well, we started against Derby and we got the fans back on our side after the Celtic game.

“It was a strong start and then we played really well against Norwich and got a good result.

“Couple that with the mid-week match against Bury, another potential banana skin was avoided, and we (produced) a professional performance and won 1-0.

“Then the game at Sheffield Wednesday was tough place but overall (we’re) fairly happy.”

He continued: “The fans in the Stadium of Light will especially be important, and I hope it will be something that other teams think about.

“I want teams to think that it’s a hard place to go.

“I hope they do because we want to make the Stadium of Light a really difficult place to come.

“Leeds will be a difficult game because we have not had an easy schedule of games recently.

“We have probably had the hardest first four games in a row out of anyone in the Championship so if we can continue to build on the momentum we’ve gained so far then hopefully it can be a good season.”
