The 33-year-old, who missed Wednesday’s win at Queens Park Rangers, leads the line against the Eagles after being passed fit, with Adnan Januzaj also recalled following a one-match ban.
Didier Ndong and Jan Kirchhoff retain their places in the starting line-up, with Lee Cattermole making his first start at the Stadium of Light during the 2016-17 season.
