Feeling at home:
Papy settled on Wearside

Papy Djilobodji is thoroughly enjoying his time at Sunderland.

The Senegal international has impressed following a summer move from Chelsea while also starting to forge a solid partnership with fellow centre back Lamine Kone.

And speaking to safc.com he praised his team-mates, the staff and the fans for helping him settle into new surroundings.

“Everything has gone fantastically and I feel really good,” said Djilobodji. “I moved into my house about two weeks ago and everyone – the staff, players and fans – has welcomed me with open arms.

“The togetherness within the squad has helped [me settle] a lot and we will try to show that togetherness on the pitch, and the fact we all get on so well will help us win games.”

He added: “I’m really happy to be playing in the Premier League because it was always a childhood dream for me.”
