Kaboul: Great team spirit in camp

Younes Kaboul is loving every minute of the club’s Austria training camp, admitting it’s the best pre-season he’s experienced in his career to date.

The big Frenchman has been full of praise for what is proving to be an intensive fitness programme devised by Sam Allardyce’s backroom team.

“We’ve been working very hard every day and the atmosphere in camp is brilliant and everyone is working together,” the defender told safc.com.

“We have everything here at this camp that we need to prepare properly and it’s a great environment.”

Each day the players have three training sessions, with each one focused on different elements of fitness and incorporating different techniques to get the players ready for the new season.

“The organisation of the sessions and the work we’re doing is brilliant; it’s probably the best pre-season I’ve had so far, in my career, and I’m really happy with that, there’s no time wasted, the faculties are all close together and there’s not much traveling to do,” he added.

A number of the club’s younger players who have joined the senior players in Austria have also caught Kaboul’s eye.

“The youngsters here are enjoying the chances to learn; we’ve got some good young players coming up through the ranks and they’ve all done well, they all have a bright future ahead of them.”
