Seb Coates – Sporting CP 2-0 Vitoria Setubal

Seb Coates completed 90 minutes as Sporting Lisbon picked up another win and another clean sheet.

William Carvalho opened the scoring with just six minutes played and victory was sealed before the break, with Bruno Cesar doubling the hosts’ advantage.

The win moved Sporting up to second in the league and just two points of league leaders Benfica.

Adam Matthews – Bristol City 2-0 Ipswich Town

Bristol City ended a three-game losing run in the Championship with a win over Ipswich Town.

Lee Tomlin and Luke Freeman were on target as Adam Matthews returned to the side to complete 90 minutes.  

Jeremain Lens – Fenerbahce 0-0 Besiktas

Jeremain Lens returned from a three-week lay-off as Fenerbahce and Besiktas played out a goalless draw.

The result saw Fenerbahce extend their unbeaten run at home against Besiktas to 12 years.  

Will Buckley – Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Preston North End

Will Buckley came off the bench as Steven Fletcher was Sheffield Wednesday, with Preston North End beaten in a hot-headed encounter at Hillsborough.

Fernando Forestieri opened the scoring before being sent off, with Fletcher netting from the spot before Eoin Doyle set up a grandstand finale.

Preston’s Jermain Beckford and Doyle were sent off in added time for fighting each other.
