ROSS GIVEN THE GREEN LIGHT

MILLERS MAKE LADAPO MOVE
Rotherham United have sealed a deal to sign Freddie Lapapo, who had been linked with Sunderland throughout the summer.
Relegated from the Championship last season, the Millers secured the 26-year-old's services in a club-record move on Tuesday.
Ladapo bagged 18 League One goals last season for Plymouth Argyle, with Portsmouth also credited with an interest in the frontman.
DOWNING SIGNS FOR BLACKBURN
The Sheffield Star report that Sunderland are one of several clubs to be turned down by Stewart Downing, who has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Ewood Park.
The former England international, who spent time on loan at the Stadium of Light as a youngster, also reportedly turned down moves to Sheffield Wednesday and several MLS clubs.
EX-BLACK CAT ON THE MOVE
Robbin Ruiter could be about to seal a move to Champions League-bound PSV Eindhoven, according to reports in the Dutch media.
The 32-year-old, who spent two seasons at the Stadium of Light, will leave SAFC at the end of the month following the expiration of his contract.
