Sunderland Ladies are back in action this Sunday as we enter the New Year's football schedule, hosting Crystal Palace at Eppleton (KO 2pm).
The match will go ahead in DH5 after initial doubt over the pitch's condition with frozen areas of the playing surface on Friday - however, a Saturday morning pitch inspection was passed.
The Lasses currently sit eighth in the FA Women's Championship table - four places below their visitors from South London - having so far played 10 league games this season.
The two teams last met in September at Selhurst Park, where Keira Ramshaw's late leveller secured a 1-1 draw and an important point which at the time maintained the Lasses' unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Mel Reay will be boosted for the match in terms of team selection by the return from injury of Jessica Brown, alongside recoveries for several players from Covid-19.
Despite a recent slump in which they have won just one of their last four in all competitions, Crystal Palace are a tough opponent who are maintaining an outside shot for promotion.
The Eagles were successful in their last league contest, overcoming Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium back in November.
Tickets for the match are available on the turnstiles at Eppleton, with card payments ONLY accepted. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions, including Stadium of Light season card holders.
Social media coverage will be active on the Lasses' official Twitter account, @SAFCLadies.
