Sunderland Ladies took an emphatic win in the third and final Wear-Tees derby of the season as Keira Ramshaw celebrated her 200th appearance.
A first half hat-trick from Bridget Galloway set the Lasses on the road to a 13th consecutive game unbeaten in the FAWNL.
Middlesbrough did grab a goal after the restart as Emily Scarr netted what proved to be a consolation strike.
But Ramshaw marked her milestone with her 80th goal for the club five minutes after the break before Georgia Gibson got a fifth in the 82nd minute and Katie Barker rounded off the win six minutes later.
Sunderland remained unchanged from Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup defeat against Birmingham City.
The Lady Black Cats had early chances through Ramshaw and Potts but the breakthrough didn’t come until the 14th minute. Bridget Galloway claimed the goal after Gibson’s cross fell into a crowd in the penalty area.
Galloway made sure there was no doubt over her second just after the half-hour mark. Ramshaw’s inside pass put the in form striker through and she lobbed Laura Wareham.
She could have had her hat-trick five minutes later but her one-on-one effort brushed the outside of the post.
The striker did, however, get the match ball with a powerful effort four minutes before the break, hammering the ball home at the near post.
Middlesbrough started the second half well scoring two minutes after the restart. Scarr poked in at close range after Sunderland failed to deal with a cross from the right.
But Ramshaw restored the three goal cushion soon after, finding the net with a low strike from the edge of the area.
Gibson got a goal with eight to play, finding the bottom corner with a powerful long range effort.
She later turned provider once against as Barker wrapped up the three points, a pinpoint through ball from the Black Cats number 10 was finished brilliantly by Barker one-on-one with Wareham.
Sunderland take their league winning run to eight games and prepare to fight for a place in the FAWNL Cup final as Southampton travel north on Sunday.
