Defender Hannah Skull has joined North East Regional League side Hartlepool United on a dual-signing basis.
The young full-back made two appearances for the first team last term, having originally joined the club’s development side halfway through 2017-18.
“I’m excited to join Hartlepool with the hope that I will be in contention to get some more game time to help me develop as a player while still being part of the team here at Sunderland,” said the 18-year-old.
Pools got their league season off to a flying start with an 8-0 win at home to York City. Skull played no part, although could be in line to make her debut at Farsley Celtic on Sunday.
Much like fellow loanees Libby Corney, Rebecca Ward, Grace Boyes and Eve Blakey, Skull will be eligible to play for Sunderland should she be needed, due to the dual-signing terms of the loan.
