Megan Beer is back in contention for this Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup Wear-Tees Derby, and there’s positive news on Allison Cowling and Emily Hutchinson too.
The full-back picked up an ankle injury in training early last week and was ruled out of the original fixture last Sunday.
However, a monitored return this week saw Beer prove her fitness for a return to the squad on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Cowling received positive results from her latest x-ray, and she’s already progressing with rehabilitation.
Working on mobility after the removal of her cast a number of weeks ago, the American has been training with the outfield team as she builds fitness with a February 2020 return in mind.
Meanwhile, Hutchinson underwent successful surgery on her torn ACL a week ago on Wednesday. The winger picked up the injury on the opening day at West Bromwich Albion, but is now able to start her rehabilitation process with a targeted return of the start of 2020-21.
