Confirmed: Ladies 2019-20 squad numbers

Sunderland AFC Ladies have revealed their squad numbers for the 2019-20 FA Women’s National League season.

Many of the familiar faces have retained their numbers from last season, while some numbers vacated have returned to use as they will be sported by our new additions.

Neve Herron takes the number two shirt on arrival, a number that hasn’t been used since Danielle Brown’s departure at the midpoint of 2018-19. It’s a similar story for the number 11 shirt, as Jessica Brown takes the number previously worn by Jordan Atkinson.

Allison Cowling will retain the number one shirt for the new season, as her new goalkeeping team-mate Claudia Moan takes the number 13 jersey. Cowling originally took the number 13 upon arrival in October 2018 before moving to the vacant number one.

Returning centre-back Charlotte Potts will take the number five, moving up from the 24 shirt she wore during her spell in red and white last year. Courtney Stewart, who formally held the number five, will wear the number three in 2019-20 after Amelia Kemp’s departure.

Meanwhile, Abi Cottam will take the number 20. The new signing will be the first player to wear 20 since Dominique Bruinenberg in the 2017-18 season.

Captain and FAWNL Player of the Season Keira Ramshaw will retain her trademark number seven shirt, with the Supporters’ Young Player of the Season Mollie Lambert retaining number eight.
