There’s a brand-new matchday lottery Sunderland AFC supporters can get involved with – with more ways to play, more prizes to win and it’s a great way to support the football club’s official charity, the Foundation of Light.
Named Ha’way and Play, tickets for the new matchday draw are on sale now ahead of the first draw on Saturday 24 October, when the Lads take on Portsmouth at home.
The revamped matchday lottery comes following fan feedback, where the Foundation of Light asked supporters their thoughts and how they would like it to work.
Tickets start at £5 with five chances to win and can be bought online at www.hawayandplay.com.
Proceeds are split 50-50 between the prize pot and the Foundation of Light, with a bonus chance of winning a Rollover Jackpot each week.
The draw will made during the second half of each SAFC home game, with the winning number broadcast live on the SAFC matchday stream, posted on SAFC and Foundation social channels and published in each matchday programme.
Ha’way and Play will also offer opportunities to win additional prizes over the course of the season, including signed merchandise, minibreaks and SAFC experiences.
Over the last five years, nearly £500,000 has been raised on matchdays supporting thousands of people and families across the region to improve their lives through sport, education, employability and health and well-being programmes.
Fans can purchase tickets online in advance of each SAFC home game and up until half time. Once supporters are able to return to the Stadium of Light, there will be sellers located in and around the ground to buy tickets from.
