In 2011, Stephane Sessegnon swapped Paris for Sunderland and instantly became a fan favourite on Wearside.

The Benin international put in some scintillating performances and bagged a number of unforgettable goals during his three-year stay at the Stadium of Light

None more so than his strike against Newcastle at St. James’ Park, and his effort against Everton that secured Sunderland’s Premier League survival in 2013.

After 87 league appearances and 17 goals, Sessegnon made the switch to West Brom in 2013.
